Our mind……is like a sponge absorbing anything that we willing put into it; the movie we watch, the music we listen to, the materials we read will shape our minds.
If we adults are not careful over what we put into our minds, how then can we expect our children to have the “right mindset” towards life? We can’t pass on to them what we don’t have therefore it is vital for us to fill our minds with good and positive elements so we can pass on a rich heritage to our children.
How else to change our minds when there are so many negativism in our culture and in the world? We can do this by making a conscience effort…
- to change our habits – get rid of old bad habits by replacing it with habits which will benefit you.
- to determine how we spend our time – are we spending our time nurturing our soul, our children and self development?
- to choose who we spend our time with – if you spend time with negative people, you will be negative, if you spend time with people who build each other up, everyone will benefit from that friendship.
Our mind is indeed a very powerful tool which we possess. Many times when my kids say “I can’t.” I’ll tell them “if you think you can’t, then you can’t. If you think you can, you will surely find a way.” And when they change their mind from thinking “I can’t” to “I can”, there were able to solve the challenge which they were facing.
Many times, people’s lives change when they have an “AHA moment”, a time when their mind switch from impossible to possible from “I can’t” to “I can, I should, I have to” and that is when we say…the rest is history……
What else do I have to say so I can change your MIND?
