My Story

I was born in October 1978 to a loving family. I have two older brothers so that makes me the youngest and only daughter in the family.

Right after SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia) examination, I worked for about 8 months in Canon Marketing as Customer Service Officer. After working for a while and when I have decided what to pursue, I studied Graphic Design which was short lived. Although I had interest, due to the pressure where my classmates were more talented and creative than me, I wasn’t determined enough to see it through to even complete one semester (I sometimes regretted that I didn’t work harder).

I remember that since I was a little girl, my mom wanted me to be a Secretary so I just followed through and took up Secretarial and I was awarded “Second World & First Malaysia” in the London Chamber of Commerce And Industry (LCCI) Typewriting Exam Series 2 in 1998.

After obtaining my Certificate in Secretarial Studies, I worked as an Admin Assistant for 4 years at Pyramid Ice Skating Rink, Sunway Pyramid. I enjoyed my tenure there because it was one of my dream to be able to ice skate and what more by getting a job there means I get to skate for FREE to my hearts content (free lessons too, “Yipee!”). Because there was no opportunity for advancement in this part of the company and I was offered an opportunity to work from home as a headhunter for a recruitment agency, I jumped at it.

However, after a few months, the owners decided to disband the agency and I was offered the position Secretary to the Front Office Manager at Sunway Lagoon Resort Hotel. I was the Secretary to the FOM for a while before I was transferred to the Human Resources Department to be a HR Officer to gain experience and exposure in the HR line. All in all, I worked at the hotel for 3 years.

I left to be an Independent Distributor full time. It wasn’t as easy as it seems and so after few months, a friend told me of a vacancy at where she worked and I applied for the position. I was hired as a Secretary to the Managing Director of The One Academy, there I worked for a short 5 months and left to pursue a passion, to be a dog groomer at Pet Family, a skill I took up on weekends while working at the hotel. I left the pet store a few months after due to long working hours and that I had to work on weekends and public holidays, I was drained and the pet store was where I was last employed.

After all that, I met my husband, we found each other on Friendster and was chatting on msn messenger before meeting up at the end of 2006. We then started our business JeVince developing websites and slowly build it up to what it is today.

During one of the low point of my life, I took challenge myself and made a trip to climb the highest mountain in Southeast Asia, Mount Kinabalu. I fell in love with the place and went there a second time the next year with my new husband (we were legally married at that time).

Two months after our wedding in Aug 2008, we found out that we were going to be parents. Another life changing event and so our world changed when our first daughter, Victoria was born in June 2009. Little did we know that we would be parents again in 2010 where we found out we were pregnant with our second daughter, Valerie. We became parents a third time in 2012 when Vanessa, our third daughter was born. You may be wondering why all our daughters names starts with “V”. We decided that when we have daughters, their names will start with “V” and when we have sons, their names will start with “J”. No “Js” at the moment, not sure if there will be any in the future, we leave it to God to decide. For now 3 is enough.

I strive to be “The Wife of Noble Character” from Proverbs 31: 10 – 31.   I hope I’m able to inspire Mother’s like you or your wife (if you are someone’s husband) to be more than they can be, to live an extraordinary life.

I thank God for bringing me to where I am today. I am who I am today because of the trials I go through and I will continue to do His will and live out the purpose that He has put me here for.

Hope that you have enjoyed reading my story and I am currently in the business of building others up so they can live the abundant life which they care supposed to live. Feel free to get in touch with me sending me an email via the “Contact Me” page.

Thank you for reading my story. Take care and God bless.
